Moving Up-Date

Hey Guys!
Just to let you know. We are officially moving on Monday morning. All our stuff has already been shipped to Springfield, Massachusetts. We are currently living in our empty apartment and sleeping on air mattresses. We have actually enjoyed the extra space, and even had a game or two of soccer in the front room.
Our plan is to visit family in Utah for a week and then drive across the continent to our new home on the 9th of June.
We will miss you all.

Cute Carson

I just love having a 3 year old. Carson is so much fun (most of the time!). I especially love when he gives me little insights into his mind and the way he thinks. Today Curtis and Carson had this little conversation.
Carson : Dad, I'm 3 year pounds.
Curtis: What? you mean 3 years old, right?
Carson: Oh. Yeah, 3 years old
Curtis: you are also 32 pounds.
Carson: Ok. 32 pounds tall. Wow I'm really tall right Dad.
Curtis:What?
Carson then runs from the room, leaving Curtis and I looking at each other with big smiles on our faces. I love Kids.

Our Weekend

We had a very busy weekend.
The Wynn's took us out to the desert for a hike down the "little narrows". I am not sure if that is really the name of it, or just what we call it. The rocks were way cool!
The boys also went to Home Depot for their "man-craft". All the boys love it. I think it is because they get to use a hammer, and always come home dirty.

Truth...

Ok. So he cant really read yet. But it sure was surprising to see that he had memorized the whole book!! We read it about 7 times a day...and I can assure you that Curtis and I have the dang book memorized also!!

Check this out!

I set out to teach Carson to read. At first we started with the alphabet, and then moved onto the letter's sounds, and now we have been working on reading whole words. For anyone who has worked with children on their reading skills knows just how frustrating this can be!! Imaging my surprise when Carson read his first book to me.
What can I say... I knew he was a smartie-pants.
